the day she decided to move to forks was the day that the numbers on her wrist dropped. when she realised that the numbers had dropped over three years ( 1119 days ), she’d thought there’d somehow been a glitch despite how impossible that was. all she could do was hope that it meant her soulmate was waiting for her in forks. 14 : 11 : 19
the day she arrives in forks she’s hoping that the numbers on her wrist drop further, she only just manages to hide her disappointment from her father when he picks her up from the airport. the town’s the same as she remembers. when they get home her dad, charlie, surprises her with a car he’s bought her. she can’t hide from him her happiness at the gesture. already she loves the rusted red chevy that she can call her own. 05 : 03 : 59
her first day of school brings with it a feeling of dread that surpasses the excitement that she feels over the fact that she’s meeting her soulmate today. 00 : 05 : 42 the problem she faces though, is that in five hours time, she’ll be in school. she’d never live it down if her soulmate was her trig teacher. looking at the time on her phone, she realises she’s running late for her first day, she grabs the first clothes she gets her hands on and gets ready as fast as she can.
she was incredibly thankful to the guardian angel watching over her. her soulmate was definitely not her trig teacher, in fact, her trig teacher was her newest enemy. the man had the bright idea that bella should introduce herself to the class, what a dick. she’d tripped on the way back to her seat, but at least she’d made a new friend. 00 : 01 : 20
as lunch nears she’s getting close to running home and pretending to be sick, the nerves getting to her more than she expected. what if her soulmate didn’t like her ? what if the clothes she’d grabbed this morning weren’t good enough ? fuck fuck fuck. angela, her new friend, must have seen the panic on her face and is quick to distract bella. thank god. 00 : 00 : 42
she would have made a run for it, if not for angela. 00 : 00 : 05 angela herded bella into the cafeteria, ensuring that she actually got there while bella was too busy trying to keep herself calm. she also made sure that bella got to the lunch line and that she actually bought herself some food 00 : 00 : 03 . once they had both purchased themselves lunch, angela begun leading the way to the table her friends were sitting at, bella walking slightly behind her. she didn’t notice that there was somebody else walking near her until it was too late.
it felt like she hit a brick wall and the next thing she knows she’s falling, her tray clattering to the floor. what feels like right before she hits the ground, she feels somebody save her from the cafeteria floor, helping her to right herself before they took a small step backwards. “ i’m so sorry, i didn’t see you there. thanks- “ for catching me, saving me ? god that sounded lame.
she quickly bends down to pick up her lunch to stop herself from blurting out anything embarrassing. she can’t help but be thankful that all she got for lunch was water, a sandwich and a chocolate bar - her food choices saving her the further embarrassment of having spilt her lunch all over her saviour. it’s only as she’s reaching for her chocolate bar that her sleeve moves slightly and she notices. 00 : 00 : 00 . it was him. she looks up from her crouched position on the floor, up at the blond ( who happened to be quite good looking she noted ), her mouth dry and words falling from her mouth with no thought. “ it’s you. “
