Hepatica: Yeah , she would... a great mom. I think I’m going to bed now.

I have nothing planed this Friday ,so how about 5 facts of a few of my sims? 

Hepatica Hopper: 

1. Her name came about when me and my friend took a walk to the store a early spring around 2 years ago. We were discussing what the flowers “blåsippa” and “vitsippa”,  was called in English because either of us had heard of the English name for these flowers. 

Hepatica flowers are protected in Sweden and if you pick them or dig them up by the root in the wild for cultivation or to sell them you either get to pay a fine or get jail time. , in some cases you are allowed to pick them if they grow on your property , it all depends on which part of the country you live in. 

Also, it made me think about Hecate/Hekate, the Greek goddess of magic. In flower language the flower confidence or trust. 

2. She was almost made into a yandere. When I started to focus on Wendy’s story, I wanted it to a bit of a tragic or dramatic love story. 

I knew that any child raised by Percival and Lucia will be damaged in some way and that child would be extremely attach to the first outside person showing them genuine affection. 

I kept jumping between wanting Wendy to be with Myron or Patti, I wrote both bad things and good things in both relationships, in the end I thought going with Patti was more interesting, even though I loved Myron and he was the original choice for Wendy’s spouse.

I still want a yandere in this legacy though TT-TT One day  , one day…

3. She inherited her grandfather, the infamous Minster Julian Hoppers, eye color, as her father has green eyes while her mother has purple.  

4. Hepatica is not Percival or Lucia’s only child, but their third. Because of mages having fertility issues in my game, it’s not that uncommon of having babies die young or being stillborn, which is way instant pregnancy potion and conjuring spells are often used by mages that’s needs help to conceive a biological child. 

5. Songs that made me think of Hepatica is “Jolene but it’s gay”, “Cold”, “hurts like hell” , “Burned Out” and the song “Would You be so kind” is her and Wendy's love song.

A bonus fact: Hepatica’s parents are violating the Convention on the Rights of the Child, a set of 45 rules that protect children’s rights and freedom. It was created by the UNICEFs back in the 80s-90s and has been accepted by 196 countries, it was made law in my country 1 year ago. Funnily enough the country that values freedom and calls them the land of the free (USA) has not signed the convention.

10: Introvert or Extrovert?

Patti is an introvert both in nature and upbringing , as she was very sheltered growing up and didn't have many friends of her own,and gets a bit overwhelmed in big social gathering. She enjoys being alone but not if it's against her will , which was mostly the case by her parents forcing Patti to isolate herself from most children if they haven't found them acceptable companions for their daughter. Befriending Wendy and later on Myron helped her to find peace of mind and she is very content with having friends of her very own and that's enough for her.

I believe Wendy is more extroverted as she likes to be out with friends and family members or in the company of animals. She likes spending quality time with people and making sure they are comfortable and have a good time, but also will try to make other people get to know each other , which was the case of Patti and Myron who was didn't like each other at first.

12: Who would they sacrifice their life for?

In the case of Patti , she would sacrifice her life for Wendy , hands down. Without Wendy in her life Patti fells numb and cold , like its the middle of a harsh winter even when its a hot summers day. A life without Wendy in Patti mind is a life not worth living , which I also believe is not a healthy mindset to have.

Wendy is a bit trick , as I can see her sacrifice her life to anyone who she cares about, either it being her family or friends, maybe even a stranger. Wendy believe everyone deserves to live a life of freedom , and if someone else is trying to take away a life she will to stop them even if it would cost her life.
