Happy birthday @heraldofcrow!!! 🥳🎉
I wish you a wonderful day my friend! I hope you will like this gift i made for you with your favorite crows! 🐦⬛🩸🗡️
I think I might watch Ergo Proxy because I’m easily lured in by somber, black-haired anime girls - I’ll admit it lmao. But beyond that, do you think a Berserk/Soulsborne fan in particular would dig the themes and tone of the show? It looks a bit grim and I like that.
PLEASE watch Ergo Proxy, I recently rewatched after 10 years and it launched me into an obsession over it, it’s a fantastic anime, especially its character writing imo. (And Re-l is one of the two main characters so you will be seeing a lot of her!)
But in general, yes I think they would (I haven’t read Berserk myself so I’m speaking purely as a Soulsborne fan here) kinda like souslborne games, It’s overall pretty dark and heavy, with a lot of death all around but still comes across as hopeful, and also not afraid to get weird with some of its episodes.
It will reward you for paying attention to small details and picking up on symbolism, and can start off as rather confusing, but that’s because a major part of the plot is the characters themselves seeking out the truth (even if it won’t necessarily make them happy) It’s a name that often pops up when talking about “dark and philosophical” anime, and it sometimes gets accused of being pretentious, but it has the substance to back it up so I actually love that.
The basic plot is that the surface of the earth has become uninhabitable, and humanity is confined to massive domed cities. Within one of these cities, a mysterious “monster” awakens. Our two main characters are Vincent Law, an immigrant from another dome who always seems to be there whenever it shows up, and Re-l Mayer, a member of the intelligence bureau who encounters it, but quickly finds that anything pertaining to it is covered up, and she gets treated as insane for claiming she saw it. Which begins their journey to find the truth of what this “monster” is, what purpose it holds, what’s going on outside the dome, etc.
Would Micolash appreciate ravens and poetry?
OHHH character question oki
ravens? absolutely. they're very intelligent and i think he'd like that a lot (also could possibly be a better experiment than the crowdogs?)
as for poetry i really want to say yes just because i think it would be interesting, but to be honest I'll have to go with no. i think he'd find it too useless/a waste of time. to me he seems more of a "academic literature only" person
send this to all your favourite moots and roll a snowball! KEEP THE SNOWBALL ROLLING!❄️🤍❄️🤍❄️ MERRY CHRISTMAS SNOWBALL FIGHT!!
AHHHHHHH!!! Hahaha thank you Crow!!! ☃️☃️☃️
Happy birbday!! 🖤🐦⬛
*gives you a shiny trinket*
I accept your trinket! Thank you!
32 and 37 for Alfred!
1 for Daniil
Alfred
32. Something guaranteed to make them smile/laugh
Personally see him as someone who gets a kick out of anti-jokes. I think it's very much something that catches him off guard.
37. What they really think about themselves
Absolutely love this question because I personally love looking at Bloodborne characters through a lens of "what is their identity outside of this and do they even have one?" Because the flow of time is dependent on the player meeting some sort of goal I often wonder "how long have the NPCs been here, how long have they been doing this, do they remember who they were before the hunt began?" And for Alfred I think the answer is that he doesn't have a stable sense of self and is afraid to actually look inward and determine if anything even is there. So I think he's tricked himself into believing he's doing good and is good because if he doesn't then what does he have, really?
Daniil
1. Canon I outright reject
I reject the Pathologic 2 line where he says he doesn't like kids (to Clara, I presume, though I've only found this on the wiki and not in game) because it doesn't actually fit with the way he interacts with kids in Classic or in the Marble Nest DLC. Like he's not the best with them, granted, but it seems obvious to me that he cares about kids and just struggles with showing it.
ty for the asks :)
3 and 6 for Finlay with the Honest Character asks 🖤
Thank you, Crow! :)
3. What first drew you to this character?
I saw Finlay's item description in game and just absolutely fell in love with her character. I always feel drawn to characters with so little lore, because it gives me so much to imagine and work with.
6. Do you have any nicknames or pet names you use for this character?
LOL, not a lot, actually. Usually I just call her "Malenia's wife" or "Malenia's girl". Or just Finlay.
