Pinkie promise @herbsandfireyhooves
Platonic Touch
With a confused look she looked down to the girl and her pinkie finger that she had extended towards Gwyn. The girl looked at Gwyn with a sad and yet stubborn look.Promises like that was impossible to make in her line of work but she was not going to give up.
Gwyn deeply exhaled and gave her a comforting smile. “I will come back.” She extended her pinkie as well, letting them intertwine with each other. “I promise.” Letting go she threw her swords over her shoulder and walked out of the door. However, as she was walking her shoulders somehow felt heavier than usual, as if she was carrying a great burden. This time she wasn’t going to fight for her life nor for coin.
This time she had a promise to keep.

Send me a "♡" if you want to ship our muses

“s-STOP!” Gwyn flew up from her bed, eyes wide open, cold sweat over her back and forehead. Strands of hair covering parts of her face, as if she had shifted a lot in her sleep. She quickly realized that it had been a dream when she noticed the other inh'eid standing next to her. With one hand she wiped some of the sweat off her forehead and then moved her hair away from her face, keeping one eye on the girl. “What is it?”
•“I don’t want you to die.” @herbsandfireyhooves
RP starters: Miscellaneous angst
Panting and groaning Gwyn looked back to the other half-blood. “Shit, neither do I, b-but my fate was to die with sword in hand. Always been that w-way.” Such was the life of a witcher and that was something she had accepted long ago. Holding her right hand over her bloodied waist she forced her lips into a smile of reassurance. ‘It’s alright’.The wound was simply too deep for any of her potions.

Great. That was my favourite coat.
The spell’s effect had not been quite what she had hoped for, but at least she was free again, her movements unrestricted. It was all that she needed. She changed her skin and was airborne almost instantly, a steady climb towards the skies until she reached what she was fairly sure would be a safe distance. Part of her wanted to keep on flying, to get away from the cursed creature that reared and snorted and kicked far below.
I promised.
She began to circle above him, watching, thinking, trying to make sense of it all. It wasn’t until Stanley started shaking that she understood.
Dimeritium arrowheads, stuck in his hide!
It made perfect sense. Whatever curse it was that festered inside of him had been contained by magical means.
A curse, contained by magic, spinning out of control as the spells that held him had become disabled by the dimeritium.
There was only one thing for it.
She did not know why she did what she did next, and it did not matter – at least in the moment. Philippa tucked her wings tightly against her body and d i v e d, feeling the infernal heat that surrounded him as she closed in, at breakneck speed, her heart in her throat.
There was little room to manoeuvre, and no room at all to make mistakes. She dodged a toss of his head, powerful enough to have knocked her out of the air by a hair’s breadth, raining snowy feathers down onto his jet black coat. Her beak closed around a dimeritium shard with a metallic click. Blood spurted from the wound as the metal came away. It was only a small piece, but its effect was not diminished by its size. Philippa’s vision blurred, nausea rose up in her throat. She threw the piece aside with a screech and a shake of her head, then climbed up into the sky once more – to catch her breath as well as to observe whether her actions had had the desired effect.

“Hey missy! You look like an herbalist alright! You ever met the Bilkensteins? they’re in the business, kinda. Family of halflings they are... ever seen’ em? I’m new here you know...”
