27 + 30 for House We Share Jake please
30. exchanging soft looks while cuddling + 27. tucking head into the crook of her neck while cuddling
Jake spent every single day knowing he was lucky. Sure he had worked hard and put effort towards the life he made for himself. However, he would be a fool to ignore that Lady Luck had kissed his cheek and granted him favor at some point in his life. Jake thought at one point that it was the universe paying him back for the childhood he endured. However, that was no explanation for the gift god had placed in his life in the form of his roommate: Marlee's friend that needed a place to stay.
Jake thought he was committing an act of kindness, but that had given maybe the single most consuming person in his life in a good way. You are a blessing more than a gift, an angel, someone he never thought he needed. Then there you were, and it turned out you were who he had needed all along and just never realized something was missing. You didn't feel like missing part of his life because you had claimed and filled an aspect he had never dreamed of. You filled the spot Jake had for no one else because he made it just for you. You were so good, so gracious. So much so that it never stopped reminding him that he wasn't.
If there was one thing Jake knew how to do, it was to make the most of whatever he was given. And you just kept giving parts of yourself away. It was as if you were leaving them free for the taking so Jake would greedily snap up. Storing them away in his keepsake chest to pour over and gently trace precious items. And tonight, when you were cozy in your Pajamas wrapped in a blanket, Jake couldn't stop himself.
He drifted to your side, the magnet in his chest buzzing. You opened the blanket and welcomed him close. It's a relief to Jake; as much as the guilt weighs, the feeling of your skin is the only thing that can drown it out. Jake folds himself in, wrapping an arm around your waist and letting the other trace your side. "Well, fancy seeing you here, partner," You tease him. Jake feels a warmth grow in his chest and tries to bite back his grin at your cheesing greeting. Then you are tracing his dimples, and your eyes are shining so bright.
He wants to kiss you. It's a thought he has had so many times a day now it might as well be on repeat. Jake doesn't even know if it goes away anymore, this want he has for you. Your eyes are pulling him in closer towards your lips. Jake knows he shouldn't, no, can't kiss you, so instead, he dips his head into the crook of your neck. When his lips pepper occasional soft kisses there, you don't say anything, and neither does he. But Jake feels the way your breath hitches in the smallest tiny gasp. The feel of it each time widens the grin he has and makes the warmth in him burn just a little hotter.

for @msfbgraves, based on their lovely stories, original characters, concepts and most importantly, featuring Terry and Beloved (a very blatant self insert, as always) travelling to Ireland together. Thank you for your adorable additions --- they mean so much to me.💖
Hey, fellow writer here, you don't think you could do the username ask thingy with my user name, please?
“You know, if life was a movie, shopping would only ever be a montage at most.” Tracey picked up yet another type of onion, and tried to figure out what made it different from the four varieties already piled in her arms.
“Can’t believe you’re considering adding a camera to that tower,” her best friend raised an eyebrow at the onions. “You want the yellow ones.”
Tracey glanced down—a mistake, since under her gaze the ‘tower’ crumbled and spilled across the floor. Sophie smothered a laugh but dropped to her knees to help pick them up, and—
Their hands landed on the same onion.
They looked up slowly and met each other’s eyes in the most cliche way possible.
“If this was a movie...” Tracey let her voice trail off and added a wink for good measure.
“If. Unfortunately in real life there’s a bit more to romance than dropping vegetables.” Sophie busied herself returning the onions but not before Tracey caught the sudden flush in her cheeks.
“Well.” Tracey rose to her feet. “Canon never gets everything right. That’s what fandoms and writings are for.”
“Uh huh.”
“And in our fandom, you and I have been together for ages.”
“And in reality, you’re daydreaming,” Sophie sang, grabbing Tracey’s arm to move to the next aisle.
“It’s not daydreaming if more than one person thinks it.”
“Oh?”
“Yeah and Sammy thinks we’re cute together.”
“Mhm.”
“Do you?”
Sophie stopped scanning the shelves and turned to study Tracey instead. “You know,” she said in an almost accusatory tone, “this is a really roundabout way of asking me out.”
Tracey blinked and suddenly her face was the one going pink. “You said I was daydreaming!”
“And you tried to woo me with an onion!”
“Did it work?”
“Okay yeah a little.”
Tracey didn’t remember when they’d both started grinning.
“So you do think we’re cute?”
Sophie grabbed her hand. “I think we’re canon.”
I tried to freestyle crochet (no pattern) a crab applique. I was thinking about attaching it to a hat because it's an applique but I might make a dozen more crabs and attach them together to make a scarf of crabs instead. What do you think?

Chapter 4
A Little Laughter Goes a Long Way.
After that night on the floor in his room with Sam, Gabriel was determined to avoid a repeat performance and so, the next day, he spent hours tracing spells on his doorframe and the outward facing walls to prevent any sound escaping. The trouble was that, without carving or painting them on, they would lose their strength faster with power running through them constantly, so he would have to remember to activate them as he went to bed and deactivate them in the morning to preserve their life and conserve his grace.
It was while he was tracing the last sigil on the door that someone knocked on it. Slightly alarmed, Gabriel quickly powered down and hid the spells before he opened the door to come face to face with Dean, of all people. He looked fairly pleased with himself as he stepped aside to reveal Castiel. Instinct demanded that he wrap himself around his baby brother immediately, but he stomped on the urge and grinned instead.
“Hey bro!” he turned to Dean, “Thanks for this, Dean. Means a lot.”
