🩺 DR. HEIDI HOLLAND-MCKAY is a third year surgical resident at PTMC, the pitt original character

Heidi moved in with Cassie pretty much as soon as her highschool diploma was awarded to her— it wasn't so much for her benefit as it was to Cassie's. Struggling with addiction, Cassie needed help keeping herself accountable if she had any chance in seeing her son again. Heidi was the one to suggest living together, seeing it as a chance to get to know her (much) older sister a little bit better. Growing up Heidi never saw much of Cassie, just on holidays or special occasions. She cherished the moments the spent together but being a result of their father's second marriage, Heidi never held it against Cassie for keeping a distance from her.

Living together was an arduous journey at the beginning, Heidi navigating Cassie's highs and lows while Cassie learned the challenges of being a caretaker to both herself and her younger sister. In this time Heidi was gearing up to start pre-med at the University of Pittsburgh, she started volunteering at local hospitals and nursing homes. With a bit of convincing, Cassie had joined Heidi in her volunteer work and was surprisingly moved by the impact she had there. Cassie thought it would be nice to take some courses herself, finally get a semblance of ground under her feet. By the end of the semester, Cassie was gunning to join Heidi in pre-med.

In the hospital Heidi is known as "Garcia's protégé" and is currently aiming for a sub-specialty in trauma surgery. She is often seen floating behind Garcia between the OR and the ER, not without an occasional visit to her sister though. She tends to linger a little longer than necessary in the ER and has to be reminded to skedaddle back to "the land of the scalpel". Outside of the hospital Heidi dedicates alot of her time to her hobbies; photography, embroidery, and jewelry making!

The brunette woman sat beside him on the couch, her body turned so she's facing him. One leg is pulled up underneath her, while the other hangs loosely off of the side of the couch. One of her hands rests absentmindedly against one of his knees, her thumb softly rubbing against it.

They'd gotten closer over the past year, as they worked together to raise and provide for their son. Growing feelings blossomed inside of Anna the more she spent time with Kaito. The woman never expected to become so infatuated with him like she had and tried her hardest to ignore the growing tension between them. She'd never felt romantic feelings for anyone before and hoped they would dissipate in time as, she was terrified of being so emotionally vulnerable with another human being. Yet, the harder she pushed them away, the stronger they became. Over time, she realized there was no ignoring these feelings, as they weren't going away and decided to see what would become of them.

Hazel eyes stared at his face, looking from his eyes to his lips and back again. Anna swallowed the lump in her throat, her cheeks darkening at the asked question. "You're such a tease." She pouted playfully. The tension in the air right now is so thick, one could probably cut it with a knife. "Of course I want to kiss you. I think you're very attractive." she says, softly biting onto her bottom lip.
