On hiatus until further notice

Hello dear readers.

First of all, Happy New Year to everyone. I hope you are well and I wish you the best year moving forward.

2021 has proved to be another difficult year for me with my father's passing last month. This whole ordeal has been draining and costly. So, I'll need time to recover and build back up again.

Happy Anniversary, dear readers!

It’s been a long time and well, 2020 was...what it was. I wanna first start off by welcoming you all back to ‘Here in the West’! I know that I aimed to restart the series after a “brief” hiatus but finding work took priority and I had to work on building up my portfolio.

Luckily, I finally found work around August last year with a Youtube Channel: Young Don The Sauce God (animations). I’m very happy and relieved to have found steady work. Especially with the increase of artists looking for work during the pandemic.

During that time, I’ve been busy with settling in with work and had to face some very difficult times caring for a dying relative. To say the least, it was a very emotionally draining and frustrating time to try and keep creative or focus on work. Despite all that, I had managed to finish sketching a complete episode of HITW and currently working on the next episode. 

I also found that by completing the sketches for one episode, I can fluidly progress through more pages; which means more content for you all to enjoy.

I missed you all and I hope you continue reading!
