Hey there, remember how Jon met Gerry in TMA and Gerry was already dead and trapped in a book where he had to be a dictionary for Horrors, and how he was technically somewhat existing, but also dead and felt a severe pain and suffering by continuing being in a cursed object? Remember how Jon had to destroy said cursed object in order to free Jerry, thereby letting him fully die and let his soul rest?
Remember how in TMAGP there’s a cursed object in form of a computer, which hosts Jon’s voice and acts as a narrator to the Horrors, presumably against its will? Remember how in the gameplay before the start of the story we came to learn that ‘someone’ claimed that the corners cut when they tried to think, presumably insinuating that perhaps the soil trapped in the computer is in this great pain by existing and is suffering by its existence and containment? And remember how there was an episode where TMAGP’s Gerry was introduced, and not only that, was connected to the Magnus Institute’s child educational program, which will likely be a very important part of the overarching narrative and Sam’s development, but Gerry was NEVER mentioned or shown again?
haha wouldn’t it be funny if this Gerry wasn’t just a fanservice insert (given the connection to Sam’s past), and is actually given a role in the story that related to his connection to the Magnus Institute? And he ends up being the one to destroy the computer and release the souls trapped in it, after maybe having a conversation with this ghost that calls itself ‘Jon’, and it’s incredibly bitter sweet and Gerry has no idea why? Wouldn’t that be funny? Idk.
