Francis was usually pretty good about having spacial awareness, but he was zoned out right now, lost in his thoughts. He hadn’t even realized he spoke aloud until someone responded. He jumped, spinning to face the voice and the one who owned it.
“A-Aunt--” his voice died in his throat, not finishing his confused question. He couldn’t call her that. She didn’t know him. The thought made his chest ache, but he attempted to force it down. “U-uhm, you look like-- someone I know,” he stated, hoping she bought it and didn’t question the fact that he’d almost called her Aunt Tasha.
