Tonight is my first show as a 27 year old. What am I even saying? How did I jump from 17 to 27? So wack... I'm tired, haha! This week = 1 Nicola = 0 I'm not planning on slowing down though... This year I've been working hard to build myself up & prove myself. I'm not nearly where I want to be. Can't wait for the journey ahead though. I'm so stoked that I could be part of such a rad song with @headfury & that it's doing well on the charts, so proud lads! This Sunday is also my music school's 4'th year-end Showcase, & I'm really proud of myself for this one. It's so much work, but the self-reward is immense! All my friends around me are also growing and I'm awe to say the least. I'm so impressed with the moves we're making and the and the platform our generation is creating. From @baracoustics to @vocals_by_nicola to @_independent_pets , I just see growth. So much to come and as you all know, I'm always excited to share! Here's to 27. Let's goooo! I should have woken up this morning and been able to enjoy a homemade cup of coffee while sitting on our brand new front porch on my birthday with my husband before he left for work because I already had the day off planned 2 months ago. But that was my plan, and God had something different in store. . So instead, I woke up in our rental home with my husband by my side, no homemade coffee, and I kissed him goodbye pretty quickly following our alarms. So now I'm enjoying my free birthday Starbucks drink while getting some pampering because I needed ME time and today seemed like the perfect day to do that, even if it wasn't my first choice. . This home buying process is teaching us a lot, paired with my engine blowing up 2 weeks ago, in that God's plan is always a million times better than our own, and even if we don't understand it in the moment, it is for good reason and FAITH will never fail us! So here I sit with "plans" for my day knowing full well that those might get flipped around at any given moment but I'm okay with that.
