I’ve always enjoyed making things. As a kid I would draw a lot, but as school took over more and more of my free time I turned away from it. Now, as an adult, it’s hard for me to do it as freely as I once did. I look back on it all and wonder if maybe my passion has changed for a different style of art. Last semester I took a chance and tried something completely different and worked with materials I only dreamed about getting the chance to work with. Glass. Man, oh man, did I fall head over heels for glass. I absolutely loved it. So maybe drawing and the traditional stuff isn’t my thing anymore, and I’m completely okay with that now. I’ve realized I love to make things that reach beyond the dimensions of paper and light. Glass is a fickle bitch, but I love her and can’t wait to work more with her. For now, I think I’ll try more 3 dimensional mediums and just see where it goes. Can’t wait to cast this little beetle in glass. #herestotryingnewthings #glass #glassart #beetle #claymodelling

Apparently the #1 teething toy preferred by all moms today is Sophia the giraffe. It's the top rated and made by natural rubber. Dh and I decided we would give it a shot and see how Annabel would like it. So far it looks like she's enjoying it.😊 I was a bit skeptical since it reminds me of a dog's chew toy, but I think that's the point. I'm just hoping that it was money well spent.
