⛤꩜ intro post ꩜⛤
hey everyone! i'm hereticalheathen, you can call me bö (any pronouns).
i'm an Appalachian folk practitioner and divination witch of Celtic, Norse, and Slavic descent. my craft revolves around community, ancestral reconnection, and honoring the mundane and liminal. i work closely with local plant and animal spirits as well as various saints and gods.
i'm a queer butch artist and primarily work with lino, collage, photography, digital art, typography, leather, and abstract painting.
professionally, i have a background in psychology. in my free time, i'm a gamer and huge nerd. i also am very autistic about perfume so expect a fair share of perfume related content.
my etsy, ebay, and other social media are linked below 🫶

a large part of my craft is communing with the weather and flowing with the seasons. they all bring different themes forward.
this time of year we are reminded of the value of stillness, observation, huddling for warmth, and slowing down.
winter is a difficult season under capitalism because productivity is demanded when winter has always been about hibernation. winter spits in the face of capitalism. how can we learn from that?
as much as i adore winter, i always miss thunderstorms this time of year
just spent a full day doing a fishing quest for Willy just to have my ticket FALL IN THE WATER bc my inventory was full 👹
💛❄️ January Recap ❄️💛
Some of my favorite things from the month of January!
Movie: I finally got a chance to watch Bones and All which quickly became one of my favorite movies of all time. It is such a tender and tragic film. I also found the setting and cinematography incredibly nostalgic as someone who grew up in the backwoods of America.
Fragrance: The fragrance I wore the most this month was "Milk" from Dedcool. It's my favorite versatile musk scent. I find that it stands out beautifully in the cold crisp weather too.
Song: The song I listened to the most was hands down "Girl, Get Up" by Doechii and SZA. I've been waiting on a collab between the two of them and it was so worth it.
Hobby: I was big into journaling in January. I'm a huge proponent of letting your hobbies ebb and flow with the seasons instead of forcing hobbies into capitalist commitments. In the winter months I find myself reaching for introspective hobbies like writing in my journal.
