snow for the drabble meme
Snow — I’ll write a drabble of our characters building a snowman together.
Celestia was not one to outwardly show childish emotions often, and yet, when she was alone, she would sometimes let her mask slip away for just a while. Such was today. They had gotten a large sum of snow the previous night, and the inner child within had come bounding out. Bundled up in a more winter appropriate dress and coat, she had headed out to build a snow man.
Certainly no one would see her.
Finished with the first two, Togami had caught sight of her diligently working, pale features a bright red from the cold. Her gaze shifted to rest on him, but she ignores his presence a moment longer. shivering, Celestia leaned down to gather up a snowball to pelt at her classmate, a smirk on her lips. “ How rude -- watching a lady struggle in the cold alone. Make yourself useful.” She says with puffs of vapor leaving her mouth.
Of course, Togami was about to refuse, irritated in general by the snowball in the first place. Until he gets hit with another one. His eyes narrow slightly as he looks at the gambler, irritation clear upon his features, only to brush it away. If he was to be heir, he would need to learn to ignore such trivial things. Besides, this was a lower end area, no one important would see.
Pushing his glasses up his nose, he stepped forward to help Celestia, who had let her mask slip on once again -- of course, she smiled and chuckled but it became rather empty again. And so they worked together in the cold for a while, until the snowman was finished. They stood side by side staring at it, before another smirked danced upon Celestia’s face. With a quickness, she reached out and grabbed his scarf.
“That’s mine.” Togami simply says, reeling from the suddenness of the action. Celestia pays no heed, simply wrapping it around the neck of the snowman with a nod. Perfect.
“Yes, well -- I will ensure it gets back to you when it’s run it’s course here. Surely you can spare a simple scarf. “ She says in a chirping tone, her gaze shifting to his, challenging, before a smile appeared on her lips once again. “Well -- now that such a mundane thing is out of my system, perhaps it’s time for tea. “
And as she turns to walk away, one might swear that she had done something for her own amusement rather than for some higher purpose. Of course, if asked she would deny, deny, deny. Such an occurance just left Togami confused -- this whole instance went against everything he knew of the gambler, but he would not ask, nor would he flatter her by following behind her. Instead, he shrugs, looks at the snowman they created and walks away, the scarf still on the snowman.
