What do you think Hermione/Neville would be like as a romantic ship?

i think it’d be kind of sweet at first- like, where they both see each other as good people. that kind of mutual respect might carry them for awhile. but i think that over time, it wouldn’t work. though really brave when it comes to fighting for things bigger than himself, i think neville is too timid for hermione. i think he’d be, for lack of a better word, a bit of a pushover? i think hermione’s the kind of person that argues even if she’s not mad. and i don’t know if neville is inclined to argue back, and i think it’d wear down their relationship. i think he’d begin to resent her pushiness, and i think she’d resent his inability to hold his own. their strengths as individuals (neville’s mild-mannered and tender bravery, his humility and hermione’s fire, her constant striving for better) would turn destructive towards each other. i can see them staying together because they legitimately love each other, the way that people love their best friends, but they’d realize that they’d just be happier with other people. it’d be one of those amicable break-ups though, where they’d cry and laugh a little as they hug one last time before levitating their boxes out of their flat.
