I was already thinking of going to see sinners in theaters because of the love for it on tumblr but the thing that actually spurred me to open my browser and buy a ticket was that spotify threw the movie version of rocky road to dublin on my discover playlist and I was like damn this rules

Movies I've watched this week:
Arrival (palindrome baby!! Also something something about language as a bridge or whatever)
Whisper of the Heart (thought I had selected the wrong audio track when Country Roads started playing but nope that's a major part of the movie)
Amazon Cinderella (however much amazon paid to make this was worth it for an irina menzel cover of material girl but also I wish I had not watched this)
Shang-Chi (this was fun and refreshing to see a new character and some sweet martial arts)
Saint Maud (was expecting this to hit harder as an ex catholic but she wasn't even very catholic so mostly I was just bored? But tbh I'm never gonna be able to get into a movie that relies so much on sex stuff even if it is for Art Reasons)
Midnight o clock: it occurs to me the Perseids are happening. I go outside. It is pitch black and the swamp is full of frogs. I look up. I immediately see a shooting star. I can see the band of the Milky Way galaxy. It is a balmy 80 degrees. When I turn around and turn my flashlight on I can see the glint of three sets of eyes watching me from where the cats are trapped on the screen porch. Okay time for bed because tomorrow is Friday (by which I mean Tuesday).
