found part of one of my crabs' molts this morning... as in: a literal piece of crab exoskeleton... and hey whoever decided to unbury that -- NOT cool. gave me a heart attack, thought one of my boys (gn) was gone fr.

gave me a good excuse to do a deep clean like I've been meaning to tho!!! while lifting up their decor to check for bodies (lol), I cleaned everything out, scooped poop, replaced substrate, etc. germ was NOT a fan of me disturbing their sleep. but even tho I already concluded as much, I also got confirmation that gandalf & ginger are Actively molting as they are both deeply buried, not just in regular burrows. (so out of sight unlike germ, but almost definitely safe and healthy <3). I also got to see germ for a bit while checking their claws for any missing pieces and OUGH what a handsome little fellow! they just finished molting recently too ofc (could've been their molt I found lol) so they are BRIGHT and COLORFUL and SHINY, with the cutest sparkling eyes. I love crabs so so so much it's unreal.
