funny how I've never seen one complaint about Yuuji Itadori of Jujutsu Kaisen normalizing or glorifying cannibalism.

it's almost like we can love and be entertained by cannibals in fiction while remaining disturbed by that irl and condemning the theft & consumption of mummies!

Now take that logic and apply it to Caleb I fucking beg you. He and MC aren't even human. Have you ever seen several generations of cats? they'll have babies with their siblings so fast. Not to mention the same soul / selfcest of it all, and I have a canon 2 me theory that explains everything in a way that I believe could pacify antis, but that's beside the point.

It is not the romanticized portrayal of incest that is harmful, but the fandom's refusal to call it that, which is unsafe. more on that here and here.

Caleb was incredibly triggering for me and I wouldn't have it any other way. It's been incredibly helpful in processing stuff that I had struggled to recognize before.

I used to get nightmares so bad that I could not even go to the arcade with Caleb. I'd play through his calls and texts and arcs on silent, just hitting the screen at random. it's REALLY easy to enjoy the game while avoiding him, if that's what you want to do.

and if you want to believe that they aren't siblings then go ahead and forge your own story, but please recognize that your denial of canon is, shocker, not canon. Please stop trying to make it so.

the world underneath update is fucking me upppppppp like ok I suspected that Sylus was lying about Philip being out of town during the Zoion Hunt, but I WROTE IT as the truth. also. now do I need to change every "Phil" to "Philip" for clarity? and!! I got some of the lore with his twin wrong....

like it doesn't RLY matter bc I often use fics to explore what-ifs that aren't canon anyway, howeverrrrrrr trying to retain all my made-up lore and canon lore is ckwmcbqjciwmcma (would be easier if I didn't have so many lads fics lmfao)

ughhhhh so I was thinking about ships w Caleb (I would love to see him w Xavier... their spacecraft astrophysics conversations... what that would look like in practice... what they could build together...) and landed on Sylus. none of these ships are about the sex idc about that — I want to see how they enable each other. how far it could go.

but sylus and caleb being so into bondage and begging mc to lock them up is so funny bc if Caleb and MC are the same soul split between 2 bodies (canon 2 me it makes too much sense), then would the linkage also appear between Caleb and Sylus?

like we can bring mc into this bc if sylus is in the middle. he's bound on both sides and ik he would love that 😭😭😭😭😭

ok so I just played through Viper's part in the main story again (screenshots below the cut) and it does actually... seem like he's working with Caleb.

Viper showed up to warn MC against wandering Skyhaven alone. And to remind Caleb that Lucius will drop him if he doesn't retrieve the spacium core with 3 days. Caleb's cruelty at first seemed like it was for show (like how at his colonel introduction, Caleb black holes a guy for revealing too much and instead of execution I think the dissident ends up in Caleb's private medical ward that we learn about in the world underneath update), not to let MC see that he was already acquainted with Viper. buut his jealousy went crazy lmfao?? like I don't think he touched her. and Caleb is torturing him. and then lying to MC about losing track of the guy 😭😭😭😭 despite all that they do kinda. feel like friends?? Viper's like. bro aren't u going a little too insane rn..

it also sounds very much like I'm right about Nero 😤😤😤 canon 2 me. anyway I love my pookie Viper more than ever before rn I'm so glad between cable and sylus I have so much yellow crystal saved

they don't have to be bad for each other but I love an enabling couple.... like throne of eros sylus x mc... that kind of vibe?

idc about any smut, it's the dynamics it's the fallout it's the way that Xavier recognizes mc's soul in Caleb and needs him and will sacrifice his own mission just to stay close...
