This data certification enables transportation without which shipping or transportation will not be possible.
Additional testing and certification of lithium-ion batteries is provided by Underwriter Laboratories. Supported by a world-wide network of locations, Underwriter Laboratories specify comprehensive technical details in terms of battery safety and applications.
Because of the increasing attention to the safety standards of lithium-ion batteries, in addition to the recognized worldwide certifications, local certification has become a feature of the regulatory nature that exists.
Norway has released a Circular Series V which supervises and approves lithium-ion technology in the maritime transport sector.
Japanese PSE regulations and certification have been established as a mandatory benchmark, to ensure products, including lithium-ion batteries meet the stringent requirements for entry to Japanese markets.
As the focus on safety and performance of lithium-ion batteries remains a key issue, the standard and frequency of approvals and certification will continue to feature in the use and incorporation of lithium-ion batteries.
