HC: Remember that you mentioned Kagami getting involved in a Case Closed Murder Mystery? Can you tell me more about the case or did you not plan any specifics?

I don't have much specific planned but:

Kagami knew Ran and Shinichi from before ML. Probably in the same middle school but then she left for Paris.

They weren't close obvs since Kagami was very socially awkward before. But upon running into Ran again she is like 'Hey I am not good at social situations but I have gotten better would you like to be friends now?' and Ran goes all in and they update each other on things.

Shinichi-as-Conan is just ???? about it. He can't really say anything since 'Conan' doesn't know Kagami, but he does try to get more info on that whole superhero thing she mentions because it sounds interesting and ya never know maybe he could put together Hawkmoth's identity.

Kagami finds Conan to be kinda sus the whole time. And since she's seen weirder shit, she has experience with the excuses one makes when they're hiding their identity, and Shinichi isn't always the /best/ about keeping the 'haha I'm just a curious kid' act, she kinda clocks what's going on with him.

Anyway. Murder happens at whatever event it is. Kagami and her mother are among the potential suspect pool.

Kagami ends up highly suspected as, during the murder, she was called back to Paris for an Akuma(a different one than Darkblade 2.0. Like an off-screen one where she was able to show up). So no one can account for her wherabouts and her cover story of 'I was calling my boyfriend' is simple but flimsy. There is one point where she slips on the lie and says 'girlfriend' instead, making her look double sus, but she covers and "clarifies" that she has a girlfriend and two boyfriends, and was on call with all three, having only said 'boyfriend' due to not wanting to explain the entire functionality of the relationship.

Eventually the murder is solved and it's someone not connected to them and all. Not sure what that actual murder plot is.

Kagami does kinda yoink Conan for a hot minute to be like 'Okay I gotta know, what the fuck, Shinichi?". Which he is all 'ahahha totally not that guy I'm just a normal kid..." but no it doesn't work. She just gives him a grin and a 'your identity is not the biggest secret I would be keeping'.

(Side note: Whenever I talk about Case Closed, if I fuck up the names, I apologize. Because I got into this series on the translated names. So my brain sometimes defaults to things like Shinichi=Jimmy, Ran=Rachel, so on and so forth.)
