Today’s is a meme with Wind and Wings!

This is Link, Hero of Wings!

So, I don’t have a ton about his story, but I do have some thoughts.

So! He’s what’s known as a Sicari, who are basically Hylians but if they were in a Wings!AU. He lives in the Sicari village located at the top of Mount Daeda.

He has friends! There’s his buddy Ganondorf (he goes by Gan), who runs the bakery and gives Link great power-up breads. His family came up from the Gerudo Desert when he was young, so his wings are different than native Daedan Sicari, but he and his five little sisters all enjoy being there anyway.

Then we have Zelda: is she the Hylian princess, just a friend who’s Sicari (sort of like Zelda in Skyward Sword), or is she both—half-Sicari princess of Hyrule? Who knows? Not me! Either way, she's there in some nebulous sense... I think at one point I was thinking more the SkSw!Zelda route and thought about having her in a fire when she was younger and she lost her wings, but I don't know about that.

I have no idea what his adventure entails! However, I do have a decent idea of him as a character outside of his adventure! He’s very gentle, loves spending time with his friends, and is basically the epitome of "looks like a cinnamon roll, is actually a cinnamon roll, but could and might kill for you." He loves to go flying, and one might even see him performing a few tricks while he's in the air if he's feeling particularly daring.

I finally caught COVID-19 and spent my isolation painting and watching YouTube.

I redrew a piece from 2017 of the OG Hero of Wings inspired by Art Nouveau, and I think this reflects how much I've learned.
