Oh boy, this is 17.5K words of Norm just drowning inside his own head ToT. It's double the word-length of the other chapters! I spent so long on this chapter, but I think it was worth the hours upon hours it took. Honestly, probably my favourite chapter so far (although the Hermie/Scary chapter still holds a dear place in my emo heart)

Tried my hand at painting as an excuse to draw Hero's Guide fanart
So, fic writing update: I paused writing chapters for Hero's Guide cause another idea sparked, so I've written about 20K or so words now of this new fic. It's Polywagon, but set when they're in their mid-20s. I'm having fun writing it, still got another 20K words worth of ideas to write for it, but I might end up releasing it as one big fic instead of chapters. I think chaptered fics (for me as a writer) means my brain has time to rest and tune-out of the momentum, whereas writing one giant fic doesn't have checkpoints, so I have to keep writing. Idk, ADHD stuff, I guess. Anyway, yeah, still writing, just not posting it just yet
Sorry for slow Hero's Guide chapters. First, my keyboard's E button broke. So, I started doing art (cause that didn't need the E button). Then I got mega back into Minecraft, I've been battling some sort of fatigue illness (waiting on doc to figure out what it is) and I need sleep more than creativity after work. So yeah, the chapter is slowly being written while on my breaks at work. Got 11 pages out of an average of 30-40 pages written so far, so getting there slowly. Thanks to everyone who's following along, love you guys
As you can probably tll from how this post is going, but on of my kys on my kyboard has dcidd to stop working, and unfortunatly it just so happns to b a vry important lttr whn writing, spcially a fanfiction. How am I supposd to continu lik this without my prcious lttr ''? So anyway, I'm kinda forcd now to typ on my phon whil I wait for my nw kyboard to arriv, which is annoying caus it's slowr than typing on a computr, but oh wll. (I'v also had to kybind Mincraft so my invntory is now on 'R', which is also annoying af...) So yah, sorry if th nxt chaptr taks a littl bit longr, and I hop this updat post didn't giv you an anurism :)
So, something I've never mentioned is that the dates in Hero's Guide are following a schedule. Every now and then a character will mention what day of the week it is, so I've been sticking to that internal logic.
Linc/Hermie: Thursday (mentioned)
Taylor/Norm: Saturday
Hermie/Scary: Tuesday (mentioned)
Norm/Linc: Thursday
Date 5: Saturday, etc
The reason I mention it is because at the end of Norm/Linc's date, I mention the 4th of July party on Sunday.... Use your noggin for a second... There's still one more date before 4th of July. Everyone in the same room garden having all been on 2 dates each... Ooh, do I sense some drama in the middle of my fic? 👀🥲
