Overwatch Hero 28?

I think the next hero will be Greek. Obviously there’s no real evidence ( why this is a theory) but with the new map coming out for death match named Petra, Greek name for Raqmu.

Now yes, Petra is in Jordan, not Greece but I still think it’s going to be a Greek hero. This map will bring another Greek aspect, with us already having Ilios and Ilios Light House. Petra is a feminine version of Peter, which hints to my next point we’re going to get another girl hero. OR maybe neither a boy or girl?

I think our next hero will be Athena, she’s the Overwatch announcer.

ANYWAY , Athena. As obvious as it is, I’m going to go over the name. The Greek goddess Athena is the goddess of wisdom and victory, pointing towards a support role if put into the game. She was the daughter of Zeus; her birth is unique in that she did not have a mother. Instead, she sprang full grown and clad in armour from Zeus' forehead. Which obviously points that in game she would be an omnic (she already is and it’s shown so this is just me saying her name is fitting.) Previously Athena has been shown a few time in Official Overwatch pictures , this could just be because she is the Overwatch announcer, but it’s a little much to put her into multiple pictures and art. Right?

Also I’d like to bring up the concept art of Iris:

Could her design point to an omnic in our midsts in an Iris/Athena blend?

Hey do you guys remember the Assassin during the Retribution event? First of all I love her. So this is wishful thinking,, it’s also based off of the way she looked:

Kinda same head shape, I bet she’s pretty tall when standing upright. IF Blizzard gave us Athena and IF she wasn’t a support, could we have gotten a glimpse of what an omnic assassin looks like??? (God I hope so)

Why Athena is not the next hero:

I feel it’s important to bring in why she probably isn’t the next hero mostly so I don’t sound to crazy.

Petra (the new map) is not in Greece, it’s just a Greek name.

Athena herself is not Greek ( no evidence) her name might be the only Greek thing about her.

Brigitte the last hero to come out was female and a support. As much as we need more good supports (rip Mercy) I don’t think they would but out another one so fast.

Yikes OW community

I keep seeing people on her complaining about Hammond and the fact that he's a hamster. I get you all want the junkertown Queen (heaven knows I did) or some of the other older members of OW but can't you just let the OW team have their fun? Not every Hero needs to conform to your agenda people. Be greatful of what you have instead of asking for what you don't need.
