If anyone where to ask Akira if he was worried, then the answer would more than likely be yes. Not that he would tell them why he was worried, but he was regardless.
After all, it’s his fault in a sense that this happened.
Does Akira regret explaining everything? Yes and no: he knows that he needed to do it, so that way everything was out in the open between them, and he owed the other an explanation of everything anyways. He only regrets it because of how it made the other break and it hurt so, so much to see that happen.
Still, Akira isn’t giving up on him. Not now, especially when he needs it. Despite everything, with how complicated their relationship has been, Akira Kurusu will not give up on Goro Akechi regardless of what the other thinks. Akira doesn’t hate him after all, and there’s no real reason to try and avoid him.
He wants to be around the other, and wants to try and be friends with him. He’s just not sure what it’ll take to do it.
It’s what leads him to the detective’s apartment (it’s not hard to find considering they’re living in the same complex), the intent to drag him out of there and into the city: there’s a festival of sorts going on. It would do them both well.
He takes a deep breath, and then raises his hand to knock on the door. “Akechi,” he calls out, hoping he can hear him through the door. “You’re in here right? There’s a festival going on right now, do you want to go check it out?”
He’s prepared for if the other resists; he’s not afraid to drag the other there with force.
