Project Title: A project aimed at encouraging creative thoughts, ideas and play using graffiti-styled typography.
Reflective Statement: Overall I think my project has come a long way. From the initial concepts I came up with, I feel I have really developed my ideas well. Although I have narrowed my cards down to graffiti-styled text I do believe that other ranges of these cards could work well such as cartoons (minion prototype from earlier). They could also be used to help creative people add texture to their projects rather than using one colour to fill an image.
Twitter Friendly Tag-Line:
“Create” is a creative’s deck of cards which aim to encourage and inspire creative play, it can spark ideas for anyone.
Creative Competition: Each player takes a card each and whoever can visually incorporate the card the most creatively after a majority vote wins. Keeping a time limit on a round definitely makes it more challenging.
Creative Individual: When playing on your own it can be interesting to pull cards at random and see if they can integrate with your surroundings to form some kind of narrative.
Creative Paint: Not the most legal version of the game but none the less exhilarating. Each player takes a card and a spray can of distinct colour. Within a set time limit, Players are to use cards as a stencil and leave their mark on as many interesting places as they can. Photos are taken of each mark as proof. Players meet back up and whoever got the most spots wins. Extra points for creativity as well.
