Before I really became a portrait photographer I was trying to model and a mixed media artist. I didn't have any money for agencies or photoshoots so I would create my own sets, read articles and look at commercial fashion throughout the ages and get either my friends or family to take the photos for me. I also worked in a dark room and learned how to do my own timed delayed image, such as this one. This I took with spectacular British Sculptor (and former model) Amy Stephens. This photo was taken in 2003 when I was newly 21 years old.
