Did you know the stitches in the #herringgullwrap start out super simple? I'd rate the entire pattern adventurous beginner friendly, actually! But even if the crossed double crochet stitches weren't your thing, you could totally work this entire piece in the first stitch pattern, which is all single crochet, double crochet, and chain stitches. This was the first time I crocheted in probably a week. I guess putting your house on the market and welcoming a spouse home from an 8 month deployment would do that, though! This blanket has been such a delight to work on. Getting the club shipment every month from @sixandsevenfiber has been something I've greatly looked forward to and, of course, the yarn is totally scrummy! (that MCN Alfalfa base, y'all!) And adding in the minis? SO MUCH FUN!!! I feel like I've been off the radar a lot these past few months and part of that is just deployment survival, but that doesn't mean I don't have some exciting things to share soon - like the #herringgullwrap pattern featuring @leadingmenfiberarts that drops tomorrow (yay!) or the super secret squirrel pattern for the Bridgerton kit from @forbiddenfiberco that has been arriving in mailboxes in preparation for a July 1st CAL kickoff!
