it had been on callie’s mind for months already. not the sexuality thoughts, rather the thoughts of telling someone - and arizona in particular. ever since she’d learned that the blonde was openly gay a part of her had been drawn to form a friendship with her. not that she wouldn’t have been friends with arizona if she was straight, but that extra little tug helped her to know that she was safe from losing any sort of relationship she built with the blonde if she ever came out to her. she’d dreamed about coming out to arizona for so long. they’d been alone only a few times; like twice when they rode together to attend events for school. numerous times she could have let the words slip through her lips in arizona’s car but... they just never came up. but today? today was the day she was gonna do it. amidst their whole day spent together, alone - a rare opportunity as teenagers. while marathoning whatever tv series that was she pretend to be incredibly interested in to get to spend time with her friend, she was going to say it. she just needed to get those words out and have someone that she could be GAY with. that she could talk to about girls and all those things and to help her through this difficult phase in her life. it didn’t matter to her a bit that the other girl was in a relationship. that wasn’t what callie was here for. all she wanted was to confide in a friend her deepest secret where she knew she would be safe. and while if she was asked out she would certainly consider it, she wasn’t exactly into the idea of dating.
