tip of quill slid across parchment as she made another signature with regal handwriting . a sigh left painted lips just as another breeze blew in from the large open window behind her , thin purple curtains fluttering slightly . document was set aside upon the pile she had already completely thus far . crystalline gaze dragged over to the stack of documents she still had yet to do . a small groan , face falling into cool delicate hands .
sat in silence she did , listening to the hum of voices from the town beyond the walls and the singing of the birds . . . the crash of lazy waves in the fjord , the rustling of leaves in the breeze . head still tilted down in her hands another soft gust blew through her hair , causing loose strands to dance slightly upon it’s current . face lifted to tuck the strand back behind her ear , putting the quill back within the well . ❝ i can’t focus like this . . . perhaps a break . maybe a book ? that could be fun . . . ❞ a grimace . a book would give her a break without wondering too far from her study . it was an automatic form of rational thinking . she needed real fun .
