Naive encounter

Hecate tended to keep to herself, however seeing a demi-goddess in minor affliction due to clumsiness made her prone to help. Although it was an unfortunate occasion, as the sight of Vincent’s photocards caught her off guard, freezing in her step for a second before she’d speak her mind about the images. The young woman’s reaction made Hecate’s stomach sunk even more, from the tone of her voice, the bit of her lip and the smile. Nothing would pass by unnoticed when it came to him.

“Sort of." She repeated, more like a mumble to herself than an actual contribution to that interaction. One of the cards went unnoticed, sliding next to her boot leaning over to pick it up and fidgeting with it while her mind stormed a dozen spells Hecate would love to bestow upon the naive girl.

After a couple of seconds, the goddess poked Sihyeon's shoulder. "You missed one, here." Her arm stretched just enough so the demi-goddess could reach the item and Hecate gave her a small smile. "We don't want to disappoint your friend and lose one of his souvenirs now do we?" Whatever the nature of their relationship, Hecate knew better than to risk provoking him yet again. For now, she would play nice... ish.

Miss. A term that felt like a layer of condescension every time another deity used it along with her own name. The establishment Hecate ended up visiting that night was indeed beautifully prepared, with its decorations and design making justice to the name. Even if she hated to admit it, Freyr was correct and once again her precocious opinion embarrassed the goddess. “You can’t be surprised one would have a different scenario of a place named Maid cafe. Have you seen what’s out there in the world?”

He was right, every single staff was there at their own will, which appeased Hecate’s saltiness over such type of places she’d seen before. “An employee... interesting.” Seeing a deity taking the place as a simple staff member and not an owner or higher-up was, at the very least, refreshing. “You know what? Olympus may be falling because I’m accepting that offer. And shame, bites can be fun.” The goddess shrugged with a short smirk and she slides to sit in front of him, loosely holding to the glass in front of her. “After these last weeks, I can use a drink. Even with a God of peace.”
