realistically I think this is because wearing ribbons in your hair is really Not In Style here or anywhere I know but it Is regularly done in anime. also anime is a gateway drug to getting into japanese street fashion, which I would say is where my interest in head and hair bows is from.

i was gonna say 'me maybe?' but like, no i've liked anime x'D just not as much anymore. i don't really watch any shows regularly to add on i've been called an anime girl on more than one occasion for wearing ribbons

Interesting.... Yea I’m sort of same, I don’t watch anime much at all anymore, the only anime I’ve watched in the last two years is YoI and JJBA. I used to really really like anime though, and that was when I started wearing bows, so it was just sort of Interesting to think about!

I am taking mental notes on all of these replies because it really is Super Fascinating to me, tbh, thinking about how certain fashion trends spread in certain groups and stuff? It’s just really cool idk thank you all for responding!
