“Aw, this is super fun, too! Don’t put yourself down like that!” Scott, you’re standing in line. The line hasn’t moved in, like, ten minutes minimum. Polly has just floated away in boredom at this stage. “I’m sure whatever the line is for is super cool!”

...Had nobody checked what this line was for, actually? Scott certainly didn’t and the other half of the Prank Masterz duo is off in the distance preoccupied with whatever hellish concoction she’s made.

Sonic didn't spend a lot of time with Jet, admittedly, but watching the fireworks from a ship in the sky? Admittedly a GREAT view, whistling somewhat as she rested elbows on railing whilst she did. There's a cursory glance in Jet's direction, before her attention returns to the colorful bursts of light - and then feeling the briefest peck of beak on her cheek.

"..was that supposed t' be a kiss or were ya trying t' poke me for th' fun of it?" A wry little grin, before she paused and tapped her cheek in thought. "...So, like, what's th' protocol? Do I- is th' side of th' beak fair game or--"

"No no that's like- my beak is the entire- that's like kissing someone on the side of the lips. Just do it beside the beak or something."

"Right, okay, wanted t' be sure."

Was Sonic already aware of that fact? A bit, but seeing her friend a little flustered was amusing. She leaned over, giving them a brief kiss on the cheek in turn.

..Okay, yeah, she was laughing now. Sonic couldn't help it.

@hexsided sent: "So... you're transgender?" a pause, staring at the hedgehog with a blank stare... before a smile and a thumbs up from the hawk. "Cool! Wanna go get a flag for the occasion?" they show off the top-side of their extreme gear before patting on a nonbinary pride sticker stuck onto it, amongst many other ones. "Got lots of ones like these at Hawk Topic."

Sonic wasn't worried, per se, making sure the news got out there to anyone she considered important enough before it took off all over social media. It already had, of course, but she was doing her best to ignore that for now...

Jet taking it this well shouldn't have been a surprise, it wasn't, but it was... relieving, nonetheless. A shaky chuckle, before her attention is naturally drawn to the patting of pride sticker on the hawk's extreme gear. She blinks at them, before nevertheless grinning in response.

"Aw yeah, that sounds rad. Lemme grab mine- " There's that flicker of insane speed, and suddenly she's spinning board by the nose before the sound of her movement had even started. "- and I'll race y' there, eh?"

And she's not even waiting, because of course she knows the answer, and she's already tossing it down amidst running start to race off.

@hexsided​ sent: they hover over on their gear, lying on their side, hand on cheek and other resting on their hip. "hey there~" ....the board keeps drifting past sonic. "uh. hey, hey, hey wa-" aaand it goes into a nearby tree, making jet lose their balance and flop onto the grass below. oof.

The hedgehog just watches for a moment, blinking a few times as the hawk hovers over on the gear. Could Sonic have spoken up to bring up that Jet couldn’t properly stop the gear like that? Sure. Was she going to?

Of course not, it’s hilarious.

So she just taps foot, waiting for the inevitable as Jet keeps going and collides with a tree. A smirk, as Sonic is one second standing away and the next balancing front edge of gear on a finger, spinning it expertly as she wears that trademark snarky grin on her face down at Jet on the ground.

“Hey to you too. Nice wipeout.”

                            Sitting   awake   in   the   middle   of   an   empty   house   is   an   experience   that   one   can   only   be   there   to   understand   ,   the   aches     of   the   old   home   toy   with   frazzled   nerves   as   you   bounce   your   leg   under   the   table   ,   thumbs   press   together   anything   to   take   your   mind   off   the   ebbing   eyes   you   can   feel   boring   into   your   skin   like   daggers   from   somewhere   ,   from       EVERYWHERE       .   call   you   paranoid   ,   but   since   a   week   ago   the   anxieties   of   being   watched   was   resurfacing   ,   giving   to   fitful   nights   without   sleep   and   those   times   when   sleep   did   befell   you   ,   vivid   nightmares   of   the   past   would   shake   you   to   your   core      .

                              a   cup   of   warm   liquid   sits   in   your   palms   ,   unable   to   feel   the   heat   under   gloved   hands   ;   when   did   you   put   those   on   ?     (   you   can’t   quite   remember     )    ,   but   your   attention   is   broken   off   the   urge   to   peek   under   them   at   the   coven   sigil   that   still   sat   shamefully   against   skin   at   the   noise   of      @hexsided​ ( vee )   returning   with   something   .
