I'm pretty sure I own Simon Vs the Homo Sapiens Agenda as an ebook, too, since BEFORE Love, Simon came out... I've also not read that yet either! Anyway, the film is on my list, but I have difficulty getting into films. The existence of a series is making me more likely to find the time for the film.
The book is one of my favorites. I’ve read it countless times. It’s one of a few books I read on loan from the library then had to go out and buy my own physical copy.

hey, about your post about dan being afraid of bugs on set (if what you're talking about is the s1 finale by the barn) they were june bugs, which (at least in the region where they film) are like giant beetle things that feel like little buzzing rocks when they fly around your head omg they're gross and creepy af, but not really much like moths. Doesn't really matter, I'm not trying to be like "aahh you're wrong!" I just find it cool that "june bug" means something different in different places!
I could have sworn someone said lacewings in an interview when talking about the bugs, which aren’t even like moths either but probably more like moths than june bugs. Either way rl Dan is afraid of bugs and fictional David is afraid of moths and I’m convinced that’s not a coincidence

The Mortal Instruments was originally the title of one of Clare's HP fanfiction. A RonxGinny fanfiction. She's always loved incest.
That I did not know! I know she drew a lot from The Draco Trilogy for The Mortal Instruments. People have compared Jace to her version of Draco, Clary to her Ginny, and some other connections. When I got back into fic around 2008 I ended up reading a lot of Draco centric and Draco/Ginny fic so I always kept coming across references to The Draco Trilogy but never actually sought it out.
