oh no i don't even hope to be choosen, i reblog like thousands and thousands of networks and no one chose me so far. okay what principles you are guided in choosing members? bc i have organized theme and tag system etc etc but wait, maybe i just suck?
Don't get discouraged. It's never personal. I was in the same boat as you, and still am. I have reblogged many awards, networks, and botm posts and have been rejected many times. It simply takes time for you to get your name out there. What I did to improve was get bold and begin conversations with people. I asked for blogrates and advice, as well as simply chat with others. In fact, the first network I was accepted to was because the admin felt bad because I was making a network about the same topic at the same time she posted! There are thousands of people on tumblr, just as there are thousands of people in real life. In order to make friends, you've got to get out there!
As for what I'm looking for in blogs, I look for people that have a tag system, and a customized theme that shows thought and effort. I like to see that they are nice bloggers when asked questions, and don't post too much wank (at least untagged wank). I'm not big on the whole negativity thing, so personally, I'd prefer to admit someone into my network who is fairly positive. Also, in the survey that I posted, I look for people with charisma. In all honesty, you didn't have to answer the questions with a full paragraph, but I wanted to see your personality. I wanted to accept a mix of people, so that the network wouldn't be filled with one type of person.
No one sucks if you really think about it. I remember getting really upset when I was rejected from like my 1000th network. I never got any messages, and I would never be as popular as some of the people here. I only had 75 followers and it felt like I would stay there forever. But what does follower count really mean? Not a whole heck of a lot. Don't let this website make you feel so insignificant. I know some people take tumblr way too seriously, because all it is is just one massive message board.
