emmrich watching me smash every single urn and priceless vase in the necropolis with my gigantic whackamole hammer
I’m just… really in my feelings about the temperance ending. I can’t stop thinking about how V, near to tears, begs Johnny not to forget them. Or about how after Johnny pestered V for a cigarette all game, he quits smoking once he actually has their body. I can’t stop thinking about how after Mikoshi, everyone is scared shitless after V just drops off the map, and everyone leaves them voicemails and texts worried that they offed themself?? Idk. V deserves the world. Johnny deserves the world.

major spoilers for emmrich's personal quest below
i always thought it was super weird that allowing emmrich to become a lich was never framed by the narrative to be a negative choice. like, throughout his questline i kept on expecting there to be some big reveal about the true nature of lichdom, or for someone, literally anyone, to maybe acknowledge that emmrich avoiding his fear of death by sentencing himself to an eternity of servitude to the necropolis is... perhaps not the healthiest way to deal with things? it could be that i'm missing some things, but the decision between manfred and lichdom has absolutely zero stakes for me because of this.
