Nick and Jess Love Language: physical touch
A little thought about Nick & Jess
Nick have always accepted himself. That he is not like any other man you’ll ever meet, he does not go above and beyond anymore but stay at where he is rather than risking what’s on the other side of it.
Then, Jess came. He said he doesn’t want to be late for his flight, but he missed it again–for him to see her smile again. He went to the bank, because he’d do anything for Jess after he told her that he won’t change for anyone. Nick got out of a first class flight just to make sure she would go to her own flight.
Mexico, he was ready to stay in and ran away with Jess if she would’ve said yes. He was always afraid of risking, that’s why he stayed where he was—but he was always ready to do something just to know that Jessica Day is happy, okay, and loved.
Jess’ line in the last episode of Season 1 was, “I met you. That’s why I’m okay.”
she did not say that just because they are friends she said that to assure Nick that he made her comfortable with who she is becoming because he was there to help her, Nick was always looking out for Jess–before, during, and after their relationship.
Yes, Nick has always been himself. No above and beyond just stays where he is currently in. But then, Jess came—it helped him risk, not just about her but also to a lot of things.
Nick and Jess, in their own little way, helped each other. Bestfriends to Lovers excellence.
