Mother, May I [closed starter]
...
Gently awakening from a rather unplanned slumber, Maemi certainly did not find any pleasure in pulling herself from the dusty threads of a raggedy old thing. Gentle fingering laced themselves between the ashy threads of the flooring. Lifting herself to her feet, the caregiver gave a rather clueless gaze at her surroundings. The thoughts of what had just occurred, the irrationality of the situation to stumble into this otherworldly occurrence, and the strange character before them was overshadowed by one simple, blaring fact.
“This place... it’s simply filthy! I demand to be shown your cleaning supplies immediately!”
With cheeks puffed in what one may consider aggravation, the soft frown of the caregiver pointed to a rather facetious threat, rather than the serious tone the girl offered. After a brief moment of silence, the caregiver erupted into a fit of giggles, seemingly unable to maintain such a stern tone.
“Uhuhuhu~ I hope that wasn’t too much... but honestly...something should be done, and soon.”
Listening to the child before them with perked ears, the caregiver seemed perplexed by Monoko’s ultimatum. It seemed like this peculiarly... outdated mansion seemed to be this boy’s place of residence. And he wanted to play a game of sorts...
How charming of such a charismatic little boy! The actual dialogue their apparent jailer gave and gravity of the situation did not seem to reach Maemi’s ears as she dotted over the little figure before her. Approaching closer, the caregiver bent down with a smile.
“~Ooooooooooooh? Is that so? Aren’t you a charming little heartbreaker, handling such a grand introduction, all by yourself. Color me impressed! Did you do this all by yourself~?”
