Im so mad that boobs that are large are placed on women that are designed to be sexy. You know what I mean, though? It perpetuates this idea that women who have large breasts are sexually available when 1) it's anatomical and they have no control over their how their own body grows, 2) it completely negates the importance of consent (if she looks like a """"slut/whore/seductress"""" she wants me) and 3) denies a woman's sexuality by making her sexy for others consumption.
It does bother me greatly that big boobs are associated with sexiness, and you’re so right it does perpetuate the idea that we’re sexually available (a.ka. come harass us because we have big boobs and that clearly means we wanna suck your dick xoxoxox )
But I do disagree that its because it’s placed on women who are designed to be ‘sexy’, mostly because I believe ‘sexiness’ is a concept. What I mean is, sexiness is down to the individual. For me when I feel sexy I feel powerful and desirable; but all women can feel like that its not simply limited to women with big boobs.
But I find there’s a huge difference in being sexy and being sexualised. To me being sexualised takes the power away from you because you are then objectified. But this can happen to any woman no matter her body type. But in my experience it happens regularly to women who are well endowed because the patriarchy have created this disgusting rape culture in which they see women as an object for them to receive sexual gratification from and nothing more.
So in regards to placing larger breasts on female characters it’s not because they’re sexy or a seductress and it doesn’t make them any less of a strong female character, which is why I want to ditch this sudden idea that big boobs are bad and disgusting on women because they’re sexualised by men and instead want people to consider tackling the rape culture ideal that’s so deeply ingrained in such things, instead of belittling women with big boobs because they’re associated witha disgusting concept in which they have no control over .
All in all we can pretty much chalk down the association of large breasts and sexualisation to over entitled heterosexual men.
Sorry it was a bit long! But if you need me to explain any of my points further just send another ask!
