This month @bar_meridian_nyc asked me to curate the records for their #JukeboxCollective. Daily from 4-7pm when you get a drink at the bar you also get tokens to choose a song on their beautiful #Seeburg #HF100R machine. - I was hesitant at first, but was assured that it's rather gentle on the records with similar tracking weight to what I use at home. So I jumped in, and pulled records that I hope won't drive the bartenders crazy. My criteria: NO DUDS, I love both sides of every one of these 45s. Double Hitter, 2 Sider, Crate Saver, Penny Pinchin', B-side bangers across a bunch of genres... I can really only justify bringing home a record IF I can imagine some setting where I would play it out for other people. So lots of party stuff in there but some chill moments too. Take a swipe to see my selections, I was really strangely excited just to see the jukebox strips! - This Saturday there will be a release party for the curation. 4-6pm come hang out and pick some records on the jukebox, kitchen will be open too.
