Naomi Scott: Disney Princess Panel - Comic Con 2024.
1.) Who do you play?
Princess Jasmine.
2.) What was the most rewarding part of bringing a princess to life?
The representation. Growing up I didn't get to see a lot of people who looked like me and I latched onto Jasmine. Seeing young girls dressed up like the original Jasmine and like mine from the movie, it was so heart warming.
3.) Do you believe your princess and prince are still living their happily ever after? Where do you see them now?
100% I mean, Jasmine got to break tradtion and change the royal protocol for him, she's not giving that up. I think they are travelling - on their magic carpet, of course. Helping everyone they can, especially kids who grew up just like Aladdin.
4.) What is one costume you wish you still had?
Okay, it's so hard not to say all of them. The blue is obviously iconic, but the orange and pink one from the party scene, where she sees Prince Ali for the first time? Something about that one just felt so regal and I wanted to keep it forever.
5.) Did playing a Disney Princess live up to your dreams?
It was everything and more. I was always a little rough and tumble growing up, so I was nervous about pulling off something to elegant but I just loved it. It was like all my dreams coming true. Even if I was a little scared on the flying carpet.
6.) What piece of advice did you learn from your Princess?
Being fearless, to stand up for what you believe in and your own self worth. Woman are strong and tough and we deserve a seat at the table.
7.) If given the chance, would you make a sequel for your movie?
You know, there are always rumours on the internet that we are going to do a sequel but I have yet to be asked - so this me officially saying if there is one out there, I would love to be in it. What do you say, Guy Ritchie?
8.) Is there another Disney Princess you would love to play?
I don't think she is like an official princess but I heard there was a Hercules remake happening and I would love to be Meg. She is a badass.
