Julian had nothing to hide, because "satisfaction" seemed beside the point of all this. The thought of leaving Garak filled him with a hot smothering terror. Even if he could make it off of Cardassia, all the problems that had landed him on this planet in the first place still existed. In Federation space he would find institutionalisation or imprisonment. Anywhere else promised a life of scraping by, a repeat of that first hungry year before he'd found his place here. And at least here he had - "Just touch me. Will you?"

Y/n was raised by their grandparents and has been helping out in the coffee shop for as long as they can remember.
