ont-profile modify(distributing-mode)
ont-profile modify(distributing-mode)
This command is used to modify an ONT capability set profile. When the configuration data of a profile does not meet the requirements, run the command to modify the profile.
ont-profile modify { profile-id profile-id | profile-name profile-name }
Indicates the ID of the ONT capability set profile. It identifies a capability set profile uniquely. When you need to modify a capability set profile by profile ID, use this parameter.
Numeral type. Range: 17-128.
profile-name profile-name
Indicates the name of the ONT capability set profile. When you need to modify a capability set profile by profile name, use this parameter.
Character string type, a string of 1-63 characters.
Global config mode, Diagnose mode, HG8245H, HG8245A
In the privilege mode or global config mode, run the diagnose command to enter the Diagnose mode.
You are recommended to use this command in the global config mode.
The system default profiles include the multi-dwelling unit (MDU) profile, and the profile for the common ONTs. They are numbered from 1 to 16. The reserved profile numbers of the 16 profiles are null and can be added according to requirements. Currently, the system has four default ONT capability set profiles. The default profiles cannot be modified or deleted.
The profile bound with an ONT cannot be modified or deleted.
To modify the mapping mode of ONT capability set profile 17 to 802_1pPRI, do as follows:
huawei(config)#ont-profile modify { profile-id<K>|profile-name<K> }:profile-id { profile-id<U><17,128> }:17 Command: ont-profile modify profile-id 17 Press 'Q' or 'q' to quit input > Are you sure you want to set the number of POTS ports to auto-adaptive? The system displays the message "Modifying an ONT profile succeeded" after an ONT capability set profile is modified successfully.
The following table describes the parameters in response to this command. Indicates whether to set the number of plain old telephone service (POTS) ports to adaptive. Indicates whether to set the number of Ethernet ports to adaptive. Indicates whether to set the number of VDSL ports to adaptive. Indicates whether to set the number of CATV UNI ports to adaptive. Indicates the mapping mode between the service flow and the GEM port.

Are you sure you want to set the number of POTS ports to auto-adaptive? (y/n) [n]:
y: Sets the number of POTS ports to adaptive so that the number of POTS ports is set based on the actual number on the ONT
n: Sets the number of POTS ports to non-adaptive so that the number of POTS ports is set in a subsequent step.
Indicates the number of the POTS ports. The configured value must be the same as the number of the actual POTS ports.
Are you sure you want to set the number of ETH ports to auto-adaptive? (y/n) [n]:
y: Sets the number of Ethernet ports to adaptive so that the number of Ethernet ports is set based on the actual number on the ONT
n: Sets the number of Ethernet ports to non-adaptive so that the number of Ethernet ports is set in a subsequent step.
Indicates the number of the ETH ports. The configured value must be the same as the number of the actual ETH ports.
Are you sure you want to set the number of VDSL ports to auto-adaptive? (y/n) [n]:
y: Sets the number of VDSLt ports to adaptive so that the number of Ethernet ports is set based on the actual number on the ONT
n: Sets the number of VDSL ports to non-adaptive so that the number of Ethernet ports is set in a subsequent step.
Indicates the number of the VDSL ports. The configured value must be the same as the number of the actual VDSL ports.
Indicates the TDM port type. It can be E1 or T1 type.
Indicates the TDM service type. It can be TDMoGEM type only.
Indicates the number of the TDM ports. The configured value must be the same as the number of the actual TDM ports.
Indicates the number of the MOCA ports. The configured value must be the same as the number of the actual MOCA ports.
Are you sure you want to set the number of CATV UNI ports to auto-adaptive? ( y/n) [n]:
y: Sets the number of CATV UNI ports to adaptive so that the number of CATV UNI ports is set based on the actual number on the ONT
n: Sets the number of CATV UNI ports to non-adaptive so that the number of CATV UNI ports is set in a subsequent step.
Indicates the number of the CATV UNI ports. The configured value must be the same as the number of the actual CATV UNI ports.
In the single bridge mode, it can be set to mapping based on VLAN, mapping based on 802.1p priority, or mapping based on VLAN+802.1p priority. By default, the mapping mode is mapping based on VLAN.
In the multi-bridge mode, it can be set to mapping based on port ID.
ONT mapping modes include the following categories: These 4 mapping categories are mutually exclusive on the same ONT, but mapping modes of the same category can be configured on the same ONT. For example, if the ONT mapping mode is set to mapping based on VLAN, the mapping between the GEM port and service flow can be set to mapping based on VLAN, mapping based on 802.1p priority, or mapping based on VLAN+802.1p priority.
Category 1: mapping based on VLAN, mapping based on 802.1p priority, and mapping based on VLAN+802.1p priority.
Category 2: mapping based on port ID, mapping based on port ID+VLAN, mapping based on port ID+802.1p priority, and mapping based on port ID+VLAN+802.1p priority
Category 3: mapping based on IP ToS
Category 4: mapping based on VLAN+IP ToS
Indicates the type of the flow control.
