NEW DELHI: The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) will seek amendments in the National Highways Act to acquire more land to create land banks to meet future requirement and to monetise them. Junction of US 10 and US 395, Adams County, Washington, circa 1955.

As we had relatives scattered across Eastern Washington, I remember this junction from hot (pre-automobile air conditioning days) summer trips across the state. US 10 has disappeared in Washington State. Much of the right-of-way became Interstate 90, and the remaining sections have been renumbered.
