hooollly shit i just finished aa5-1* and god do i love ted tonate
*through the entirety of the ace attorney series i have only finished aa5-1, aa4-1, some of aa4-2, and nothing else. i started playing because i saw someone draw him with benry and was immediately intrigued so needless to say i was very e><cited about ted tonate and just could not wait.

like dude gets a job in the field of his fi><ations, sells bombs on the internet, eventually gets a crush on one of the bombs, either dresses to match it or in a twist of fate his crush just matches his outfit, acquires a replica of the bomb that he speedruns the disassembling of everywhere he goes, ends up seeing the actual bomb and swooning so hard his coworker finds out, gets scared and hits her with the bomb, then precedes to have the worst evidence tampering spree i have seen yet where literally anyone looking for anything could find out that hed killed a guy even after it was blown up, precedes to be the smugest motherfucker in the courtroom and taunts the opposing lawyer with the passion of a something awful moderator, gets scared again and hits another person in the head with the closest object, and then when he gets found out threatens to blow up the court house and everyone in it
what the fuck? i like him for it though!

i really like that hes like canonically objectum i typically dont see people like me in media when it comes to that :D
it is so funny that he actually types a string of periods and that we can hear it in game, like dawg is his tts literally outputting "dot. dot. dot. dot." for 20 seconds every time he does that?
i hc his tts to sound like terminal 99 with impulse set to cd2802 specifically and the training unit hh-3000 to sound like default bert gotrax
i know i brought it up already but it is so adorable that him and the hh-3000 have the same colors i really hope he did actively choose the color of his vocal synth device because of the main color of the hh-3000s chassis. the lovebird♥♥♥♥
i rather enjoy this guys unsafe stimming habits like yeahhhhhh chew on that electrified wire full force-style nothing bad'll happen surely
also he quotes the hh-3000 replica "boom! game over! yeaaah!" and like of course he would but im pointing it out cuz i just like that alot
does anyone else think ted has some to><ic relationship type thing going on with the replica hh-3000? like it is a facsimile of the actual object of his affections that he seems to think of as the real thing when stressed out e><treme-style like the object he brings with him everywhere and brings him calm to disassemble isnt enough to help, it has to be the real hh-3000 even if he doesnt "know" it well, to reassure mr. tonate. + he did damage it severely at the end there because he was tweaking. this guy is weird about this bomb training unit in a way i havent seen someone be weird about an object in any media yet. it really interests me
