Because he's.....well, Val. Valentino probably jokingly insulted Y/N in Vox's office once. And since sharks probably don't understand sarcasm, or just don't care if it's a joke if it's directed at mommy, they go nuts. Queue the sharks glaring and growling at Valentino during a meeting because he doesn't know how to shut up. They probably throw themselves against the tank in anger when they see him walking in.

Val: What the fuck is wrong with them?

Vox (after communicating with the sharks): They're mad at you, you insulted their mommy.

The funnier part? Wife!Reader knows he is joking. Valentino may be an ass, but he is not that stupid to try and get into a real fight with her.

And during all of that? She felt her kids giving the killing look to him. Did she calm them down? Hell no. She is there for the drama. Because her sharks can be so protective over her mommy and she loves them for it.

Plus, if Valentino ends dead because of them? Thats a plus in her mind. And she enjoys the scared look he tries (and fails) to hide when she walks in.

Something I just realized purely because I feel like crap right now. The sharks probably got freaked out the first time momma got her period while swimming with them. Obviously they wouldn't try to eat her. But they're probably flipping out communicating with Vox.

Yes, and because is hell, the craps there are worse.

So, Momma!Shark is having a good time with her kids. Distracting herself from that moment when you start to bleed (cause sinners cant have kids but the period crap is there). She already took some powerful medicine (thanks Velvette, woman power for this) so she feels fine.

But she is not.

She is too distracted playing with some tigger sharks when one of them is pushing themselfs against her belly all worried, moving their tail in panic.

Momma!Shark is confused about this. And gets worse when Vark comes and scans her and to him all it says is: Moomy's bleeding.

COLLECTIVE PANIC. All of them are calling Vox and trying to see whats wrong but there is no injury so maybe internal bleeding-

And Mooma!Shark is confused and then, she feels the blood and it sucks cause she was having a good time.

Meanwhile Vark is there like: MOMMA IS OK?

And Vox gives them all an update, that this is normal and it happens once a month. And the sharks are like, oh fine~ then they get angry cause, what do you mean Moma must suffer once a month? Do something dad!!

And Vox (who did deal with this while alive) is already getting a list: warm blankets, chocolate, her shark plush, ocean sounds, not bother unless i want my head off my body and more medicine.

And Momma!Shark is comforting Vark who now does not want to be away from her but also understands she needs space and will visit them back soon or them be allowed to be with her once she feels better.

And how are them while her period lasts? Some are sad cause mommy is hurting and some are mad. They become so aggressive they are near Vox all the time while he works or in in a meeting like: we are this close to break hell for mommy, dont push it.

Once she can see them again is a change, all of them would stay near her in the tank and beg for pets and doing second checks on her.

This is the day Wife!Reader found out, sharks have weak spots for pets.

Vark is outside his tank with Wife!Reader in a private park Vox made for her and only her. They were eating and having some good times. Wife!Reader starts to pet Vark after the shark begged for it (softie). First, under the chin, Vark makes his head go up and moves his tail almost hitting a wall.

Then he rolls to his side, belly pets!! Vark's tail goes faster. The floor trembles and a few Bases with flowers almost fell off.
