Center of the Universe
Geocentrism. The earth is the center of the universe. Now, there is a specific spot that is the very center of the universe. From this point all directions are up. Since the mass of the earth cannot reside entirely at this point, the surface of the earth is displaced from the center. And everywhere you go on the surface of the earth, down is always toward the center of the earth, hence the center of the universe.
You’d be forgiven for thinking this is gravity. Gravity is technically just a theory, as is evolution.
Heaven as we all know is above us. We call it the heavens, jesus ascended (which means up) into heaven. That direction is away from the center of the earth, which is the center of the universe.
Now hell, as we know is below us. Heaven above. Hell below. Since hell is below us AND the center of the universe is below us, hell is the center of the universe.
