✿ ever the protective and devoted mother, airi would fall in love with her children as soon as she saw them. she would refuse to let the midwife take them away to be cleaned and wrapped, wanting to hold them in her arms for just a little while longer.
✿ when her children were younger, airi would wrap them up in a sling and carry them on her back as she did her chores. she would rarely set her children down, preferring to have skin-to-skin contact with them if possible.
✿ often, airi would attend pillar meetings with her youngest either on her back or cradled carefully in her arms, swaddled in a blanket. if one looks carefully, they can see the hem of a smaller kimono peeking out behind airi, as a tiny hand clutches at her skirt.
✿ if the baby starts crying, airi immediately passes them to kagaya. he has such a calming presence that the baby settles down almost immediately.
✿ airi is most likely to wake up for the nightly-feeding sessions. she’ll take the baby to bed with her, and after feeding and burping them, airi will sleep with the baby in between her and kagaya.
✿ airi would introduce all the pillars ( and some demon slayers ! ) to her children, cheerfully telling them to meet their new aunts and uncles or brothers and sisters!! ( cue the other demon slayers spoiling her children rotten with gifts )
