I would read any fic with any of those lines between mello and near !! Especially a nice slow burn oohhh... I always want to write something like that but I'm so bad at things with actual plot :/ honestly ugh

It's easier when Near doesn't talk. Mello never knows when he's going to come out and say things like this. It doesn't make any sense. Feeling confused isn't his favorite, to say the least. Perhaps it's visible in his expression–the way his eyebrows draw together slightly and his nose twitches. "... Keep that to yourself."

oh yeah, near’s definitely my favorite character HAHA i just think he’s neat :3 PLUS did you know he’s thai in the live action movies?! SEA represent!!!!! shout out to misa and matsuda for being runners-up tho <3

8. what do you think [specific character] would have done if they had gotten the death note?

i can’t say i’ve really thought about this before... sayu, from what i remember from the anime and manga, doesn’t really seem to say much either for or against kira. now, this contrasts sharply with her musical, live-action, and drama counterparts: musical!sayu believes wholeheartedly in following the law, LA!sayu seems to be horrified by killing in general, and drama!sayu notably asks for someone to kill otoharadou when he held soichirou captive. even drama!sayu, though, as close as she comes to believing in kira’s ideology... i don’t think she would do what light did. she wouldn’t kill people outright. but she’d probably keep it. just in case. otherwise, she’d burn it.

(as for the other sayus, they’d probably give up ownership as soon as they realize it’s real.)
