Hyuk doesn’t know why he thinks Corrine would recognise him. They had met a few times in China, but she had moved along quickly, travelling to another far away country after only a short period of time. Still, it had taken Hyuk a lot of courage to approach the female and he’s finding it hard not to shrink back into himself as she asks who he is.
“Sorry…” He mumbles, his gaze dropping to the ground as he bows his head. “My name is Hyuk, we met in China a few years ago.”
Corinne didn’t want to seem rude but she also didn’t want to go with the current and pretend she remembered him from the get-go to spare the awkward vibe. Either way, she felt bad that she couldn’t dig deep enough in her brain to be able to put the pieces together. With an apologetic smile, she began to shake her head slowly, as if silently apologizing for not being able to remember. It only took a second after before everything rushed back to her.
“Oh! Wait, no, yeah I remember you. Of course I remember you. I don’t know why I couldn’t recognize you in the beginning.” Her smile bright, she was relieved that her memory didn’t seem to be as terrible as she thought. “Ah, wow. What-- how are you? How have you been? It’s so nice seeing you again. It’s been...a century, hasn’t it?”
