the weight of the SWORD THAT SEALED THE DARKNESS was almost too much to bear at times. it felt like there was nothing to be gained being the princesses appointed knight and too much was to be lost. which was why link had shut everyone out, why share such a heavy burden ? he didn’t want pity nor did he want someone else to shoulder his responsibilities. but by selfishly closing off and vowing nothing my silence–– numbness, he had carelessly also pushed her away which was fair to her. in trying to spare her feelings of how he had felt about wielding the master sword and having to fight calamity ganon he only made things worse for her feelings, and he had no idea how to apologize for the heavy strain he had put on their friendship. ... he never even once asked her how she felt about all of this. ☞ i– ☜ he hesitates only for a second before gaining the courage to open up, at least a little bit & shoulder her possible burdens, ☞ i never asked you, how do you feel about being the one to pilot VAH RUTA ? ☜

me as a dm: I put five weeks of my blood, sweat and tears into this campaign making sure that you can't fuck it up and that no matter what choices you make it leads to a great story with you as the heroes, or, if you choose to be, the villains. me as a player: welp I spent 2 seconds thinking about this and I think the best solution is to cast sacred flame at it until I get my way. My poor dm: that's your solution to every problem I give you. Me as a player: it's worked so far

one time as a player i cast detect thoughts on a dragon who was giving us riddles that my dm had spend ages searching for and she was so pissed off and ever since then detect thoughts just hasn’t worked on any of our major enemies...
