ok, so as you know I haven't played all the games yet, which makes this difficult to answer, but ILL TRY. so first off I'm inclined to say twilight princess. still haven't finished this game but to my understanding they're pretty much just coworkers. howeverrrrr, I do have to give it the fact that although the story and characters in general seem to be weaker, there is at least. story and character. whereas like, the early 2d and top down zelda games had next to nothing. so like. should be considered maybe. also at the very least twilight princess has sexy goth aesthetics going for it. the game has weird art direction for being a zelda game but it is a little sexy. like at least zelink would be hot in tp if nothing else, and they both individually have some level of character that you could piece together with a nice mixture of glue, borax, and imagination to maybe make something neat. but also the 2d games and shit were held back by their mediums lmao. like obviously nes zelink is going to be a nothing sandwich with a side of nothing fries. but twilight princess??? from 2006?? on the gamecube??? the same console wherein they made wind waker????? 2006????? 10 years after they'd made ocarina of time?????? one of the most well written games ever??? WITH a very interesting link and zelda, and potentially interesting dynamic together despite the fact that the n64 still made it really hard for anyone in that game to be an actual character??? in conclusion well then I guess the answer is still actually twilight princess cause like. you could've done better. if we DON'T grade on a curve and don't acknowledge that early zelda games had jack shit to work with for storytelling, it would have to be probably nes zelink or something
